My proposed film studio in Harlem promoting communal art, education, and production. This film studio offers screening rooms to the community, as well as fosters educating our youth helping their dreams come true.
The design shifts back and forth creating an alternating program of theater and café or workspaces. The entry is divides the public from the private programs allowing for safety and privacy between the students and communal artists. There are common theaters and working areas for collaboration and collective learning.
The facade indicates the waffled need between shaded and open space. The theater is lined with sound proofing, to maintain a silenced barrier between the screeners and film makers.
The building is carried using a structural umbrella technique. Large Columns support the ceiling which the program is then suspended from as demonstrated below.
