Hi, I’m Michael Kraiem — welcome to my website.
My journey into architecture is driven by a passion for creating memorable, thoughtful designs that honor the legacy of great architects while embracing innovation and creativity. I am constantly seeking opportunities to refine my craft, take on new challenges, and learn from the masters who have shaped this field.
I graduated from Pratt Institute’s School of Architecture after beginning my academic journey studying finance at Baruch College. My fascination with architecture began during a summer internship at Studio Libeskind, where I was captivated by the creative process and complexity of the craft, inspiring me to pursue architecture as my life’s work.
Since then, I’ve gained invaluable experience through internships at TEN Arquitectos and Foster + Partners, where I collaborated with talented teams on a variety of dynamic projects. I am currently employed at IMC Architecture in Brooklyn, where I continue to further my experience as an architect and designer, contributing to diverse projects that challenge and refine my skills.
My interests lie in form generation, modular design, and urban design strategies that address contemporary challenges while enhancing the human experience through thoughtful, intentional architecture.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, I draw inspiration from the energy and diversity of the city around me. Beyond architecture, I’m an avid tennis player, chess enthusiast, and snowboarder — each fueling my competitive spirit, creativity, and problem-solving mindset.
Thank you for visiting my portfolio and taking the time to explore my journey and work. I’m excited to continue contributing to the field through thoughtful, impactful design and continuous growth.
